Our Biorefinery Processes

Ag Waste to Methane / CO2
Our standardized biorefinery converts agriculture waste into 1 MT of methane and 0.6 MT of carbon dioxide, mixed with nitrogen-enriched air required by nitrogen-fixing bacteria and photosynthetic microbes.

Microbial Biotechnology
Our microbial processes consume methane and carbon dioxide to power their metabolism, mimicking processes that occur in nature but at higher concentrations, increased efficiency, and shorter periods.

Nitrogen Bioreactors
Our proprietary bioreactors are filled with nitrogen-fixing microbes and fed CH4, N2, O2, and H2O to facilitate the production of over 4,400 tons of near-zero-emission nitrogen fertilizer at a fraction of the cost of traditional fertilizer.

Nutrient Recovery
A separate bioreactor is filled with specialized microbes and fed AD digestate rich in phosphorus, potassium, and CO2 to recover 3,600 tons of N, P, and K. This process requires a fraction of the energy of traditional NPK.

Zero Waste Circularity
We recycle excess CH4, CO2, H2O, and sludge that would typically be emitted or discharged during anaerobic digestion. This results in zero polluted water or solids discharge and a fraction of CO2 emissions of biogenic energy.

Control Systems
We use state-of-the-art gas and liquids sensors and integrated process controls to measure and record end-to-end CH4 and CO2 flows to provide third-party emissions verifications.
